After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blountstown, Sneads was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Wewahitchka Gators. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won eight in a row.

Creed Whitworth was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Sneads' victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Wewahitchka, they moved to 9-2 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sneads will challenge Malone at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Wewahitchka, they will square off against Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
