Red Bud is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Marissa/Coulterville is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Musketeers will square off against the Meteors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
16 must be Red Bud's lucky number: they beat Wesclin with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Musketeers beat the Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-2.
Olivia Geralds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Peyton Kreher was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ava Wagner was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Marissa/Coulterville put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Valmeyer. The Meteors were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Pirates.
The result came thanks to Paityn Hand's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ayla Ranck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci McLaughlin, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Marissa/Coulterville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Red Bud, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Both Red Bud and Marissa/Coulterville just can't seem to miss. The Musketeers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Marissa/Coulterville struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Red Bud's way against Marissa/Coulterville in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Red Bud made off with a 15-3 win. Will the Musketeers repeat their success, or do the Meteors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
