Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stadium). They never let the Auburn Trojans get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Friday. Ella Enciso was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, London Kim and Sarah Yi did most of the damage at the plate: Kim got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Yi went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Yi has posted since back in March of 2024. Peyton Matthews also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Stadium was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn only posted a batting average of .118.
Stadium is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Auburn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Coming up, Stadium will take on Federal Way at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Tigers' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Auburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
