Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Central Catholic Rams walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat North Medford 56-0 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Central Catholic, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Cru Newman, who threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Tyson Davis, who gained 112 total yards and two touchdowns.
Central Catholic's victory was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.56 points. As for North Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Central Catholic will face off against Lakeridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Lakeridge is ranked fifth, while Central Catholic is ranked second). North Medford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
