Shiprock didn't have too much trouble with Wingate on Friday as they won 38-22. Maybe the Shiprock offense has finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance is a 180-degree turn from their last 5 games.
Finally capturing their first victory of the season, Shiprock advanced to 1-6. Wingate are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Shiprock will stay at home next week against Albuquerque Academy at 6:00 PM. Wingate will be playing at home against Thoreau at at 7:00 PM. Thoreau enter the match touting a three-game streak of increasing point totals.
