After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calhoun, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brown County Hornets a 14-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.
Addilynn Tracy was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Kenzie Meyer looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia let Raye Greenstreet and Mylee Tracy run wild. Greenstreet got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Tracy went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Greenstreet has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucie Dion, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
