The Collinsville Cardinals entered their tilt with the Grove Ridgerunners with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Collinsville came out on top against Grove by a score of 24-17 on Friday. This was payback for Collinsville, who suffered a 49-21 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Collinsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Skyler Moorman, who rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 151 yards and a touchdown. Hudson Henslick did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will take on Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Collinsville is ranked 36th). As for Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pryor at 7:00 p.m.
