It was a good run, but the Hampton Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 39-24 bruising from Riverside. Having soared to a lofty 66 points in the game before, Hampton couldn't push the score so high this time.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Arndt, who scored nine points along with two steals. Grant Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Riverside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nicholas Berger, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Dane Schalk, who scored ten points.
Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
