The CORE Butte Lynx suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 58-38 walloping at the hands of Los Molinos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss CORE Butte has suffered against Los Molinos since December 4, 2019.
Los Molinos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karson Fox led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. Fox continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cantonwine, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for CORE Butte and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Los Molinos, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
CORE Butte will head out on the road to take on Maxwell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maxwell is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Los Molinos will take on Biggs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Biggs' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
