Woodland hasn't had much luck against Locust Grove recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Woodland Wolfpack will challenge the Locust Grove Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Woodland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Woodland barely beat Stockbridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Woodland was the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over Stockbridge on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Kiley Wright as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Greyhounds. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Locust Grove's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Woodland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Woodland suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Locust Grove when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Woodland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
