It was a good run, but the Dora Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 63-38 loss at the hands of Carbon Hill. Dora has struggled against Carbon Hill recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Dora saw an underclassman step up: Maddix Harrison scored six points.
Dora now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Carbon Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Dora on the road again on Tuesday and play against Fultondale at 1:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Fultondale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Dora likes a good challenge. As for Carbon Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. Fayette County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Carbon Hill is ranked 103rd).
