FALLS CITY, Texas -
Cameron Soto threw two touchdowns and ran for three more as
Falls City (Texas) defeated Sabinal (Texas) 33-0 on Saturday.
The Beavers were up 26-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Soto to
Dean Gaskamp in the first quarter.
Falls City put up 19 points in the second quarter en route to the win. FC scored on a touchdown run by Soto, a Soto touchdown run and a Soto touchdown pass to
Stephen Harlos in the quarter.
The Beavers went into the matchup giving up only 9.7 points per game. The zero points that the Yellowjackets ended with were well below their average of 23.5 coming into the game. Sabinal came in allowing just 9.6 points per game this season. SHS struggled against Falls City, which came in averaging 33.8 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Sabinal, which notched a 61-6 victory over Charlotte in its previous outing.
