Softball Recap: Elizabethtown Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Elizabethtown was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against John Hardin on Wednesday. The Panthers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elizabethtown has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for John Hardin, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabethtown will head out to square off against Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for John Hardin, they will venture away from home to challenge Breckinridge County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
