Phoebus hasn't had much luck against Kecoughtan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Phantoms will face off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Phoebus will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Phoebus took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Heritage 11-4. The Phantoms haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Jacob Moore made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Phoebus is 2-1 when Moore posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Phoebus let Bryce Gillies and Josiah (Beaux) Moore run wild. Gillies went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI, while Moore got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits Gillies has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aiden Blunt, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Phoebus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, Kecoughtan is still winless after their matchup against Bethel on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bruins.
Aiden Bain was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Phoebus picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Kecoughtan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
Phoebus might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Kecoughtan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Phantoms avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
