Foxcroft are taking a road trip to take on the Saint James Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Foxcroft's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four games, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
Foxcroft fell victim to Hedgesville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 28-0 to the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Saint James entered their tilt with Foxcroft on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Foxcroft a 21-0 shutout. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 17 runs or more this season.
Tenley Mullendore ?27 made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Everett Sechler ?26, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Fatou Camara ?26, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Saint James kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory got Saint James back to even at 4-4. As for Foxcroft, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
Foxcroft suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Saint James in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can Foxcroft avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
