The Timberline Wolves won the last time they faced the Borah Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. Timberline managed a 50-46 victory over Borah.
Timberline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Mertes led the charge by shooting 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Emmi Swillie was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Timberline is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Borah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
Timberline will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Owyhee will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Timberline surely won't give up without a fight. Borah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
