The Channelview Falcons will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Dobie Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Channelview has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
Last Saturday, Channelview came up short against Sam Rayburn and fell 48-41.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Dobie, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to Pasadena Memorial on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Dobie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 941st, while Pasadena Memorial is ranked 462nd).
Channelview dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Dobie, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Channelview suffered a grim 40-14 defeat to Dobie in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Channelview have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
