The St. Francis DeSales Stallions will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hoover Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Francis DeSales fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-24 win over Bishop Watterson on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given St. Francis DeSales' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Bishop Watterson is ranked 21st).
Meanwhile, Hoover was able to grind out a solid victory over Jackson on Friday, taking the game 27-14.
Hoover can attribute much of their success to Zac Braucher, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Barker got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
St. Francis DeSales' win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Hoover, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
