The West Iredell Warriors are on the road again on Friday and play against the Dudley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only seven points in their last game, West Iredell made sure to put some points up on the board against North Iredell on Friday. West Iredell simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Iredell 40-7 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.
Cj Ferguson had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. West Iredell also got help from Jermaine Cornelius who showed off his sure hands for 148 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Dudley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Eastern Guilford 35-10. Given Dudley's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Eastern Guilford is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dudley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Attmore II out in front who threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Nasir Newkirk was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
West Iredell's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Dudley, their victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
