 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lily Berkey, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Cameryn Brundage, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Port Byron's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Weedsport, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
