It was a good run, but The Central Square Redhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Corcoran by a score of 20-18. Central Square was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Corcoran apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.
When it comes to explaining why Central Square lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Miga. Despite the final result, he threw for 84 yards and three touchdowns. Evan Smith also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Central Square's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Corcoran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Central Square does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Corcoran will take on Whitesboro at TBD on Friday. Whitesboro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Corcoran likes a good challenge.
