Boone has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Timber Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Boone didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Falcons, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win.
Cheo James continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. He hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Lian Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Timber Creek suffered a tough 101-77 loss at the hands of the Huskies on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (60), Timber Creek still had to take the loss.
Boone pushed their record up to 13-11 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Timber Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Boone against the Wolves in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 70-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boone since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
