The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Wewahitchka at home to the tune of 65-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Port St. Joe has posted against Wewahitchka since December 5, 2019.
Port St. Joe found their leader in underclassman Zay Jenkins, who scored 25 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jenkins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harris, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Wewahitchka lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Brooks, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Williams, who scored seven points.
Port St. Joe's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Wewahitchka, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Arnold at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Arnold is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Wewahitchka, they will be playing at home against Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla Christian School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
