After flying high against Living Grace Christian on Friday, Heritage Academy came back down to earth. The Heritage Academy Eagles took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Aaron McGlone was his usual excellent self, shooting 76% from the field en route to 22 points for Southern Maryland Christian Academy. The dominant performance gave McGlone a new career-high in field goal percentage. Johnie Griffin lll was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 26-3. As for Southern Maryland Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-11.

Coming up, Heritage Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Jones Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southern Maryland Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
