Volleyball Recap: Newton Local Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Newton Local won the last time they faced Twin Valley South, and Mya Denlinger did her part to make sure it happened again. The Indians blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Denlinger, who had 18 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

While Newton Local won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Twin Valley South still got an impressive performance from Emilee Zinn, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Newton Local is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Twin Valley South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
