Softball Recap: Bosqueville's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bosqueville entered their tilt with Hamilton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let Hamilton get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Bosqueville, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Deja Torres made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Bosqueville let Carly Collins and Jayla Lee run wild. Collins went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Lee scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Lee a new career-high in stolen bases. Haley Knebel also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bosqueville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton only posted an OBP of .250.

Bosqueville's record is now 10-3-1. As for Hamilton, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosqueville will welcome Bruceville-Eddy at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. Bosqueville is facing Bruceville-Eddy at the right time seeing as Bruceville-Eddy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hamilton, they will face off against Clifton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
