Lorain and Maple Heights are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Lorain Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maple Heights Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lorain will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three contest, Lorain finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Bedford by a score of 15-12. Lorain had a rough season last year, but they looks ready to turn that poor record around this year.
Despite the defeat, Lorain had strong showings from John Salaman, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown, and Ocir Kimble, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Maple Heights aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Thursday extended their overall winning streak to three. They snuck past Garfield Heights with a 28-22 victory.
Maple Heights' victory bumped their season record to 6-5 while Lorain's loss dropped theirs to 7-2.
Lorain came up short against Maple Heights in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 32-19. Will Lorain have more luck at home instead of on the road?
