Softball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Pinnacle Classical Academy entered their tilt with Christian Family Academy on Tuesday with four consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Christian Family Academy Fire with a sharp 15-5 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Evie Hawkins made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Riley Lawrence was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Gomez-Huffman, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Christian Family Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Pinnacle Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-13 win against Community Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Christian Family Academy, they will challenge Lake Lure Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 27th.
