The Santa Fe Catholic Hawks will challenge the Fort Meade Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Santa Fe Catholic 2.7, Fort Meade 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Last Thursday, Santa Fe Catholic earned a 4-1 victory over Auburndale. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Aaron Walsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Angel Andujar was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Easton Beach, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Santa Fe Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburndale struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Fort Meade gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Hardee. The game was the first time the Miners have beaten the Wildcats on their field since February 27, 2020.
Fort Meade also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Zachary Brooks gave up only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the fewest earned runs Brooks has allowed since back in February.
On the hitting side, Fort Meade saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Harrell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Fort Meade pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Santa Fe Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fort Meade struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Santa Fe Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Fort Meade in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. Will Santa Fe Catholic repeat their success, or does Fort Meade has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
