Crofton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northeast 78-23 on the road. Crofton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: Brynn Jones scored nine points along with two steals and two blocks.
The victory (which was Crofton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Northeast, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Crofton will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to take on the Admirals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Severn School's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road.
