Miller lost a heartbreaker the last time they played New Heights Christian Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Cardinals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 17-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Cardinals have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Miller, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Miller will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Skyline at 5:00 p.m. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
