The Faith Christian Academy Angels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bible Baptist Christian, falling 90-41. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 696th in Florida, while Bible Baptist Christian is ranked 233rd in Georgia).
Despite the defeat, Faith Christian Academy had strong showings from Anders Caleb, who scored 12 points along with three steals, and EJ Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Bible Baptist Christian was led to victory by Samuel Rahming and Justin Coleman. Rahming scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Coleman scored 17 points along with eight assists and six steals. Coleman's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Alano Doreste, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Faith Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Faith Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Brunswick Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. Bible Baptist Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Faith Baptist Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
