The Cheyenne Wells Tigers will face off against the Eads Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheyenne Wells is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Cheyenne Wells is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Springfield on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 6-3 win over the Longhorns.
The team relied heavily on Mason Marriott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trey Scheler, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Eads got the win against Holly on Friday by a conclusive 14-5. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Karsten Buller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Buller was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Shaine Winder was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Adyn Hough, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Eads' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cheyenne Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
