After four games on the road, Lakeland is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Wyoming Area Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Lakeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought game, but Lakeland had to settle for a 49-47 defeat against Honesdale.
Despite their loss, Lakeland saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chase Rosenkrans, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Hazelton, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Wyoming Area blew past Lackawanna Trail, posting a 81-29 win at home. The win was just what Wyoming Area needed coming off of a 67-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wyoming Area, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Lakeland beat Wyoming Area 54-44 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Does Lakeland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wyoming Area turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
