The Linsly Cadets will head out on the road to square off against the Shenandoah Zeps at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Linsly is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Linsly, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Steubenville. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Linsly came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 20th in West Virginia, while Steubenville is ranked 106th in Ohio).
Meanwhile, Shenandoah scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 71-60 win over Philo. The victory was just what Shenandoah needed coming off of a 67-32 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Brylee May, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Emily Moore, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Linsly's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Shenandoah, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Everything went Linsly's way against Shenandoah when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Linsly made off with a 67-41 victory. Will Linsly repeat their success, or does Shenandoah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
