South Hunterdon owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Linden Tigers as they made off with  a  7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Nate Lawton made a splash no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because South Hunterdon is 5-2 when he allows at  most  three  earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Lawton was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  double.
 In other batting news,  Ed Cooper was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Trevor Lingerfield was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
South Hunterdon's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Linden, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Hunterdon will host Palmyra  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Linden, they will be playing at home against Metuchen  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
