Taylorville won the last time they faced Shelbyville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tornadoes walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tornadoes.

While Taylorville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-11.

Alayna Vincent paced Taylorville's offense, picking up nine kills. Vincent got some help from Ryan Prince and her 13 assists. Finally, Robyn Ward kept Taylorville's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Taylorville's record is now 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorville will head out to square off against Pleasant Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelbyville, they will venture away from home to take on Mattoon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
