The Grand Blanc Bobcats lost against the Davison Cardinals back in October, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grand Blanc fell 24-17 to Davison. Grand Blanc has struggled against Davison recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Grand Blanc's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was JT Webber, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. Webber was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.
Leading Davison to victory were Carter Herriman and Buddy Banks-williams. Herriman rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown, while Banks-williams picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Davison also got a significant boost from Aj Hill, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Grand Blanc has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Davison, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Grand Blanc does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Davison will head out on the road to face off against Rockford at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rockford is on a six-game streak of home wins, Davison a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
