Edison has gone 9-1 against Weston Ranch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Edison took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bear Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings skirted past the Bruins 9-7.
Alicia Leiva spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jamaiya Wilson and Lelia Tatupu did most of the damage at the plate: Wilson went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Tatupu went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Escobar, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Weston Ranch was able to grind out a solid victory over Franklin on Thursday, taking the game 10-7. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won four in a row.
Treshia Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Baylee Santiago, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. Emma Melgar also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Edison's record is now 9-7. As for Weston Ranch, their record now sits at 8-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Edison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Weston Ranch struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Edison got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Weston Ranch by a conclusive 17-6 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
