Genoa Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Delaware Christian with a 32-28 win. This was payback for Genoa Christian Academy, who suffered a 34-24 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Genoa Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zane Groves, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Kirura, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Genoa Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Delaware Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Liberty Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Genoa Christian Academy will head out to face Liberty Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Delaware Christian will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
