They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Medford Tech Jaguars. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jael Espinal Sanchez made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. Espinal Sanchez was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quamere Christie, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Joen Espinal, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Westampton Tech's record now sits at 11-4. As for Medford Tech, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-9.
