Tara won the last time they faced McKinley and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Tara got a big performance out of Malik Hawkins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Hawkins has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Steven Ruiz, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Tara's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for McKinley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
