Tatnall is 3-0 against First State Military Academy since November of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Tatnall Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the First State Military Academy Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. Tatnall will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Tatnall can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over Christiana.
Tatnall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rahshan Lamons led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 54 yards and a touchdown. Lamons is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Micah Stamper, who gained 123 total yards and two touchdowns.
Tatnall's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. Leading the way was Jack Homer and his 2.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, First State Military Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 28-6 walloping at the hands of Indian River. First State Military Academy has not had much luck with Indian River recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Tatnall pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 DuPont and 2-8 Christiana (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 22.5% over those games). As for First State Military Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Tatnall didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against First State Military Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2019, but they still walked away with a 22-17 win.
