Elizabeth Forward is a perfect 10-0 against Ringgold since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Last Monday, Elizabeth Forward made easy work of Uniontown and carried off a 15-3 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Julia Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Elizabeth Forward got a massive performance out of Berlyn Holibaugh, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Holibaugh a new career-high. Alivia Grimm was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.
Elizabeth Forward was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .410. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Uniontown only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, Ringgold was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Laurel Highlands, falling 17-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered against the Mustangs since May 5, 2021.
Elizabeth Forward's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ringgold, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Everything went Elizabeth Forward's way against Ringgold in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Elizabeth Forward made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
