Quincy is 1-9 against Quincy Notre Dame since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m.
On Monday, Quincy didn't have quite enough to beat Sterling and fell 3-2.

Drake Gibson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Hornets. Considering the Raiders have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Abram Wiewel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Eli Johnson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gavin Doellman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Quincy Notre Dame was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in six consecutive games.
Quincy Notre Dame's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Quincy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Quincy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Quincy Notre Dame struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
