If Concord was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Forest Hills on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spiders fell just short of the Mount Pleasant Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spiders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.
Concord took Mount Pleasant into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 16-25, 19-25, 15-8.
Mckinley Williams paced Concord's offense, picking up four kills. Williams got some help from Adeline Fulton and her 11 assists. Fulton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.
