Milton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Lambert Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Lambert likes a good challenge.
Milton can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Denmark, posting a 76-46 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Milton has posted since December 18, 2023.
Nya Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Milton's points. Another player making a difference was Caroline Young, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lambert entered their tilt with West Forsyth with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Lambert secured a 54-50 W over West Forsyth on Tuesday.
Milton pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Lambert, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Milton was taken down by Lambert 78-45 in their previous meeting on January 5th. Can Milton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
