The third road match was the charm for the Jordan Beetdiggers, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past Granger 82-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Jordan to victory were Ayden Doyle and Trent Benson. Doyle scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds, while Benson scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Magness, who scored 7 points along with 5 assists.
Granger's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daudi Aweyso, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Aweyso scored a full 31.7% of Granger's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Isaiah Gukeisen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Jordan's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Granger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Granger, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ben Lomond at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Ben Lomond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
