After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lubbock Christian, the Covenant Classical Cavaliers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over Fellowship Academy. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Covenant Classical considering their 25-point performance the contest before.
Despite the defeat, Fellowship Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bryce Baker scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Connor Fountain, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Covenant Classical now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Fellowship Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-23.
Covenant Classical is on the road again on Friday and plays Calvary Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Fellowship Academy, they will be playing at home against Temple Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Temple Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday.
