The North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] Bearcats lost against the St. John Woodchucks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] was the victim of a rough 62-40 defeat at the hands of St. John. North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. John had a senior duo take command as Alani Morin dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds and Kaycee Desjarlais dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Morin is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliza Slater, who scored five points along with five assists and five steals.
North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] now has a losing record at 4-5. As for St. John, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] will take on Drayton/Valley-Edinburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John, they will be playing at home against Dakota Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
